Pinedale is a small community nestled at the base of the Wind River Mountain Range. The primary industry is ranching and oil and gas. There are roughly 5,000 people in the county living a slow paced, easy going lifestyle. There are no 4-way traffic lights in town (a couple of cross walks) and its hard to drive through town without a wave or two from the locals. Pinedale hosts an annual Green River Rendezvous the second full weekend in July each year. Generally, the weekend of Rendezvous is the busiest weekend of the year with several historical events, celebrations and activities taking place celebrating Pinedale's history. We have an 18 hole golf course (sort of), Mountain Man Museum, IPSSSDR Sled Dog Race, Summer Music Concerts, access to 3.4 million acrres of wilderness through Bridger-Teton National Forest, as well as many other special events, people, organizations, recreational opportunities that make Pinedale like no other place on earth. Please visit the Pinedale Tourism Office for help exploring more of what the area has to offer. Hopefully we see you soon!
